Personal Snapshot
Gundlach is not one to sit back and let others take action on her behalf. As a lover of the arts, she organized the St. Peter’s Parish annual Art Show and Festival. An interest in art education comes together with her passion for wildlife preservation in “Sharks Draw the Line,” a chalk festival for children, created by Gundlach in association with the Cleveland Aquarium to raise awareness about shark finning.
Laura is married with two children, both of whom attend Kent State University. She continues to be involved at St. Peter’s Parish year-round, preparing outreach and community support meals.

- Managed insurance and risk management for highway, off-highway and mining equipment, including cranes, dozers, draglines, excavators, graders, scrapers and off-road dump trucks.
- Has implemented public entity insurance and risk management for large municipalities, public safety forces and public service agencies with service populations of 1,000 to 300,000 households.
- Involved in risk management and insurance programs for human services and hospice centers, including specialty liabilities, with client populations ranging from 100 to 5,000 cases.
- Organized risk management and insurance programs for over 200 museums and historical societies across the country, including the oldest surviving home in Boston, MA.
- Procured property, liability and management liability insurance for over 300 churches and parishes across the country (primarily Catholic, Episcopal and Presbyterian).
- Handled insurance and risk management for high-net-worth families, including licensed instrument pilots and private fixed-wing aircraft.
